Frequently asked questions.

What makes Pelvic Power Physical Therapy different?

At Pelvic Power PT, every session is one-on-one with a Doctor of Physical Therapy specializing in pelvic floor care. We don’t rely on generic exercise handouts or cookie-cutter plans—you’ll receive a customized treatment plan based on a thorough, full-body and pelvic floor assessment. Our mission is to help you understand your body, gain strength, and reach your goals with confidence.

Who do you work with?

My primary focus is supporting moms through pregnancy and postpartum—from preparing for birth to recovering afterward with strength, confidence, and clarity. Whether you're navigating symptoms like leaking, pelvic pain, diastasis recti, or just want to feel strong and supported in your changing body, you're in the right place.

While I specialize in care for moms, I also work with anyone experiencing pelvic floor dysfunction—including issues like leaking, pain with sex, prolapse, constipation, or core weakness. Every plan is tailored to your unique body and goals—no matter your season of life.

What results should I expect?

With a personalized plan and one-on-one support, you can expect to feel stronger, more confident, and more in control of your body.

We focus on real, lasting results—like reduced leaking, decreased pain, better core activation, improved posture and alignment, and feeling empowered to return to exercise, work, or parenting without hesitation.

Because we treat the whole body, not just symptoms, our clients often say they not only feel better physically, but also mentally more supported and informed throughout their journey.

Do you accept insurance?

Pelvic Power Physical Therapy is an out-of-network provider, which means we do not bill insurance directly. However, you may still be able to get reimbursed through your out-of-network benefits.

We’ll provide you with a superbill after each visit—this is a detailed receipt that includes everything your insurance company needs to process a claim. Many of our clients receive partial reimbursement, depending on their plan.

Being out-of-network allows us to deliver the highest level of care without restrictions, delays, or visit limits—so you get better, faster, and with a plan that’s truly built for you.

Do I need a referral from a doctor to start?

Nope! Thanks to New Jersey’s Direct Access Laws, you can see a physical therapist without a physician referral. If we determine that you need a referral or follow-up with another provider, we’ll help guide you through that process.
